Mass Intentions
Praying for the living and the dead is an essential spiritual practice and great act of charity. Each celebration of the Eucharist is for all those present and for the particular intentions and needs of all the Church. A Mass is never celebrated only for a particular intention, but a particular intention can be remembered during the celebration of any Mass. By doing so, the priest applies special graces from God upon that intention. For this reason, anyone may request a Mass intention for a loved one who has died or who is living but has some need, such as illness or surgery, or is celebrating a special occasion, such as a birthday or anniversary.
To help us fulfill your request, our Mass Intention policy is as follows:- Visit the parish office to request a Mass.
- Mass stipends are traditionally $10.00 each. Unless otherwise specified, the amount stipulated on the form (and collected) reflects $10.00 for each singular Mass intention.
- Mass Intentions are scheduled on a first come, first served basis.
- Please request no more than five (5) Mass intentions at one time. Additional Masses may be sent to the Bishop’s Chapel Fund to be distributed by the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana.
- Your Mass intention could be scheduled for a weekend, week day, or one of our scheduled nursing home Masses.
- If available, we will attempt to schedule your Mass intention on the date requested.
- Mass intentions will be scheduled out no more than four months.
- An email notification will be sent once the Mass intention date & time have been scheduled.

Yes, a priest can visit you in the hospital. Please call the parish office or have someone call on your behalf: 317.873.2885.
Our secretary will ask you some clarifying questions to pass along to the visiting priest, such as:- Your name
- Contact number
- What your needs are (an anointing or just a visit)
- Whether the need is immediate
- Name of hospital and room number
- Preferred time of visit
