Lenten Adoration Challenge
Lent is a 40-day season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving that begins on Ash Wednesday and ends at sundown on Holy Thursday. It's a period of preparation to celebrate the Lord's Resurrection at Easter. Take time to slow down and grow closer to Jesus by visiting him in the Adoration Chapel. He is waiting for you!
Week 1: Trust Spend 5 minutes in adoration reflecting on Psalm 56. Where in your life do you demonstrate trust in the Lord? Week 2: Identity Reflect on Matthew 16:13 - 16 for 10 minutes of adoration. Who do YOU say Jesus is? If you truly believe He is the Son of God, how does your life reflect that reality? Week 3: Repentance Do you want to make the world a better place? REPENT! Reflect on Psalm 51: 1-19 for 15 minutes in adoration. Go to confession if you haven’t done so. Week 4: Forgiveness God looks at you with the eyes of mercy and love. No sin is too great. Repent = Forgiveness. Remember that as you reflect for 20 minutes in adoration on Luke 15:1 - 32. Week 5: Forgive Others Spend 25 minutes in adoration with Matthew 18:21 - 35. Is there someone you need to forgive this Lent? Week 6: Sacrificial Love Consider the sacrifice Jesus made for YOU and spend 30 minutes of adoration reflecting on Luke 19: 28 - 40.
