Whether you're planning on including a gift card with grandma's Christmas greeting, preparing that college student with some gas and grocery funds, or just need something other than cash to carry, see what cards and stores are available through the parish's SCRIP program.
Find a large selections of gift cards to several retail shops, gas stations, grocery stores and travel destinations. Purchase your gift card, at face value, from the parish office and then when redeemed, a small percentage of the transaction goes back to the parish.
All gift cards are the same look and feel as you would find in the actual stores that sell them. So you can give them as a gift or just shop as normal.
How do I get SCRIP from the parish?- If you're just looking for a few cards, swing by the parish office and ask about purchasing available SCRIP cards.
- Look for the SCRIP table at a Coffee & Donuts Sunday
- If you have a large order to fill, email [email protected], of the cards and increments you're interested in purchasing ahead of time. Some stores or increments may need to be ordered in, and will take a week to receive.

SCRIP pairs up with hundreds of companies that offer gift cards for consumers, so that as they shop, they can support their favorite charities. Gift cards are available for major national brands like Speedway gas stations, Target, Meijer, Lowe's, Starbucks or even American Express.
Individuals purchase the prepaid gift cards to their favorite places at face value from the charity, and use them to shop or as gifts for others.
Each purchase made with a SCRIP gift card gives back a certain percentage of the transaction to the organization. Individuals don't have to do anything extra or spend anymore. You just shop as normal, but with the use of prepaid cards.
How do SCRIP cards help St. Alphonsus Liguori?
Contributions received from the SCRIP program are kept to be use toward special parish projects such as devotional spaces or sacramentals. Some funding is also used to pre-purchase additional cards for volunteers to have on hand when buying ministry or event supplies.
